Delaney Young is an indie Christian singer-songwriter based in Chicago. With a background in classical piano, her music marries the aural aesthetics of mellow indie-folk with the chordal structures of alternative/indie/jazz, all with an emphasis on unconventional, evocative lyricism. Her songs explore themes of love and loss, faith and mystery, home and self. 

In 2023, Young released her single, "Wrestle". Later that year, she released her first EP entitled "pilgrim memos". The project is a collection of live, unedited voice memo recordings of 4 songs she wrote while backpacking through Europe. Its style and format aim to mimic the content of its songs: raw and honest words to and from God about doubt, discovery, and journey. 

Over the past couple of years, she has made her foray into the indie Christian music world, opening for Jon Guerra in 2023 and Andy Squyres in 2024. 

In February 2025, she released the Sufferwell EP, a collection of songs about surrender,  suffering well, and coming home. In March 2025, her song "As I Am" was released as a part of The Gospel Coalition's collaborative album, "What Is The Gospel?"
